To strengthen our development team, we are looking for a Technical Lead who will take over technical responsibility for our platform. You will design architecture and development standards, work closely with the Product Architect, and develop high-quality software for productive use in a regulated financial environment together with the team. Tasks Design and development of scalable backend services in Java and their operation as containerized workloads on Kubernetes End-to-end responsibility for the implementation of features – from concept and design to implementation, review, and release to operation in production Technical leadership – together with the Product Architect and the developers, you set the technical direction and keep an eye on code quality, the further development of our technology stack, and the reduction of technical debt Operational Excellence – Observability, Security, Performance, and Compliance according to the standards of a regulated financial environment Close collaboration with Product, Business, and other Engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions Hands-on – you set a good example and contribute directly to the code Qualification 7+ years of professional experience in software development, including in-depth backend development in Java Several years of experience as Technical Lead, including conducting design and code reviews, team coaching, and responsibility for successful delivery In-depth practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes in production Comprehensive experience with the design, setup, and operation of CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitLab CI) Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native design principles Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Fluent knowledge of German (at least B2) and English (at least B2) Willingness to work on site in Zurich for at least 3 days a week Valid work permit and residence in Switzerland This is a plus Frontend experience with TypeScript and a modern framework (Angular or React) Practical experience with AWS (e.g., EKS, ECR, IAM, S3, as well as Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform or Pulumi) Background in the financial industry, ideally in wealth or portfolio management, and familiarity with financial concepts Experience with , particularly for data processing, automation, or AI/ML workflows Experience in bringing AI features from prototype to production (evaluation, monitoring, cost/latency trade-offs) Familiarity with Observability, Security, and Compliance practices in regulated financial environments Benefits Exciting and growth-oriented Fintech environment Diverse and challenging tasks in a highly qualified, committed, and experienced team Flat hierarchies and opportunities for creative participation Attractive workplace in the trendy Zürich-Binz quarter Flexible working hours and possibility of home office (2 days a week) We look forward to your application! jpid221ecadjm jit0728jm jiy26jm
