Embedded Software Engineer, 80-100%

With your expertise, you ensure the reliability and performance of our electronic systems and firmware, make a decisive contribution to product quality, and enable an outstanding driving experience for our customers. In this function, you work closely with our software team in Cluj, Romania, and actively shape the mobility of tomorrow. Your tasks • Co-designing a robust system architecture • Developing central features and system-critical functions according to the Product Backlog • Verifying, optimizing, and refactoring existing code; ensuring good code quality, unit tests, and documentation • Close collaboration with the hardware team on the bring-up and integration of new components (motor controllers, batteries, displays, etc.) • Carrying out interface validations, firmware integration tests, and debugging • Supporting production: test scripts, in-line tests, and programming stations • Collaborating with UI/UX, backend, and mobile app teams and external suppliers • Close collaboration with the Software Hub in Cluj, including occasional business trips Your profile • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development with C/C++ • Knowledge of Embedded Linux (Yocto) and RTOS (Zephyr) • Experience with distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers and CAN Bus • Advantageous: experience with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, or GPS • Desirable: passion for cycling and experience with Jira, Confluence, or analytics tools • You work proactively, solution-oriented, and across teams • Very good German skills and fluent, negotiation-secure English • Willingness to work on site in Oberwangen (high proportion of presence work) What we offer • International and dynamic work environment • Great scope for design in an exciting growth phase • Modern employment conditions and flexible work options • Attractive discounts on Stromer and Desiknio bikes • Collaboration with committed teams and international markets Have we sparked your interest?
