We are looking for a: Software Engineer PHP (Media) Context: Infomaniak develops platforms in the fields of webradio, video streaming, and VOD, entirely developed and hosted within our own Swiss datacenters. We design an ecosystem interconnected with our productivity tools (Mail, kChat, kMeet, kDrive), placing quality, reliability, and user experience at the heart of every technical iteration. Your responsibilities: Architecture & Design: Participate in the evolution of the backend to support real-time broadcasting and massive storage, guaranteeing scalability capable of absorbing simultaneous load peaks (live and VOD). Development of critical features: Design and implement adaptive streaming engines (HLS, DASH) and real-time features (pause, rewind, live) while ensuring minimal latency and high availability. Quality and industrialization: Guarantee the stability of the stream and the maintainability of transcoding services via the automation of load tests and rigorous involvement in code reviews. Reliability and security: Ensure content integrity and access compliance (geoblocking, authentication) by applying security best practices (stream encryption, API securing, protection against piracy, etc...). Profile sought: PHP / Laravel Expertise: You have solid experience in modern PHP (version 8+) and master complex architecture patterns. Ideally through the use of the Laravel framework. Mastery of APIs & Microservices: Ability to design robust, high-performance, and documented APIs for a multi-platform ecosystem (web, desktop, mobile). Performance culture: Excellent knowledge of databases (MySQL) and cache mechanisms (Redis) to handle large volumes of data. A plus if you have knowledge in: Experience in the Radio/Video field (Icecast, FFmpeg, Wowza...) Experience with Docker / Kubernetes, GitLab CI is a plus. Experience with distributed storage technologies (S3, Ceph) or the manipulation of complex file systems.
