Your Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will actively shape the further development of our products ePaad and Secure2Go. You will develop sophisticated software solutions, contribute your experience to architectural decisions, and help to continuously modernize our platforms. Together with an experienced, well-coordinated engineering team, you will use modern development practices and AI-supported tools to develop software more efficiently, reliably, and sustainably. What awaits you Development and further development of central components of our software products Implementation of sophisticated business logic and development of robust, maintainable software solutions Conception and development of REST APIs as well as integrations to external systems Participation in architectural decisions, refactoring, and technical modernization Planning and implementation of secure database migrations as well as optimization of data models Setup and maintenance of automated tests as well as conducting code reviews Participation in CI/CD release, deployment, and DevOps processes Use of modern AI tools for development, testing, debugging, and documentation as well as building your own AI workflows Documentation of technical solutions and active knowledge transfer within the team What you bring with you Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development Sound knowledge of software architecture, APIs, relational databases, and system integrations Very good knowledge of Ruby on Rails as well as experience with technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, REST, and Docker Experience with Git, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing Interest and practical experience with AI-supported development and modern coding assistants Independent, structured, and quality-oriented way of working Very good German and English skills Advantageous Experience in healthcare Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, DICOM, or medical billing systems Experience with SaaS and On-Premises products Experience with electronic signatures and secure data exchange solutions What you can look forward to A central role in the further development of business-critical software products in healthcare Modern SaaS solutions and contemporary technology stack Considerable creative freedom in technical decisions and architectural questions The opportunity to actively shape AI-supported development methods Close cooperation in an experienced, motivated engineering team with short decision-making paths and open cooperation Central workplace at Basel SBB station Five weeks of vacation, flexible working hours, and hybrid working (from January 2027) Interested?
