Senior ICT Systems Engineer in the field of container platforms

Zollikofen, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution • Design, manage, and constantly develop, within the relevant lifecycle, high-availability and strategic Kubernetes clusters for the business based on the Red Hat OpenShift platform • Automate infrastructure, platform services, and operational processes using GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), integrating them into network, storage, and security architectures • Design, integrate, and further develop new platform functionalities such as service mesh, eBPF, Hosted Control Planes (HCP), GPU technologies, as well as self-service and FinOps integrations • Enhance observability, logging, and security capabilities; validate platform functionalities through performance and regression testing; keep technical plans up to date • Analyze and resolve faults across the entire platform; provide advice to partners and customers and, together with the team, ensure stable operation within the on-call service (24/7) <br /> What distinguishes you • Tertiary-level training in computer science (SUP, bachelor, or master) or equivalent experience; several years of experience in platform engineering, operation, and development of environments for container management • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift, Linux, CI/CD, GitOps, and automation; experience with Go, Python, Bash, Ansible, Argo CD, Tekton, or similar tools is a preferred qualification • Proficiency in the following areas: observability, virtualization, networks, storage, security, interface integration, and data center automation in corporate contexts • Experience with DevOps practices, service integration, and ITIL processes; structured and autonomous working method; great sense of responsibility at an operational level, interest in complex technical challenges, and the ability to interact competently with stakeholders • Good knowledge of a second official language; knowledge of English is a preferred qualification <br /> In summary In this function, you will contribute to the development of the strategic container management platform of the Federal Administration.
