Test Engineer

• IT - IT Infrastructure & Operations • Bern • Contracting • Part-time, 60-100% • 13.07.2026 or by arrangement - 31.07.2028 • Testing, Jira, Xray, Splunk, agile Your tasks: • Close cooperation with the development team to define and further develop test strategies and test concepts • Analysis of requirements and specifications as well as derivation of automated and manual test cases • Management and maintenance of test cases as well as ensuring complete requirement coverage • Planning, execution and evaluation of manual and automated tests • Documentation of test results as well as recording, analysis and tracking of errors and defects • Support in requirement gathering and refinement in close cooperation with specialist and development teams • Collaboration in problem analysis and support in troubleshooting • Definition, collection and evaluation of test metrics for continuous improvement of product quality Your profile: • Experience as a tester in agile development environments according to Scrum and/or Kanban • Completed higher education in computer science (university, ETH, Fachhochschule) or comparable qualification • Demonstrable experience in manual testing as well as in test automation and test scripting, ideally with Cucumber • Sound knowledge in using tools such as Jira Xray, Splunk, Grafana, IntelliJ and Git • Experience in test management as well as sound understanding of test methods and quality assurance • Experience in the collection, analysis and structuring of requirements • High attention to detail, strong quality awareness and structured way of working • Strong problem-solving competence, assertiveness and clear solution orientation • Very good German skills in speaking and writing Advantageous: • Practical experience in software development with Java • Knowledge of railway technical standards CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128 or EN 50716
