Developer of Web Applications for Nature Conservation Projects: 40%

SWILD - Urban Ecology, Wildlife Research, Communication is a research and consulting community of wildlife biologists that has been carrying out projects in the fields of nature conservation, wildlife management, and public relations for over 20 years. We are looking for, as a supplement to our IT team, a developer of web applications for nature conservation projects for a 40% workload or by agreement. Your tasks: • Main task is the further development and maintenance of internationally used project websites and interactive web applications for the collection, management, and presentation of spatial data and wildlife observation reports (e.g. wildenachbarn.ch or wildlifemonitor.org) • Conception and construction of web applications in close cooperation with the project leaders to support nature conservation projects • Taking over responsibility for applications as well as contact person for project teams and users • Participation in maintenance and operation of hostings and other IT infrastructure Your profile: • Solid experience in the development of web applications with PHP • Ideally experience with Drupal, app development, or UX design • Experience in SQL and database design is an advantage • Independent, initiative, and communicative personality • Social skills and interest in teamwork • Interest in project management • Interest in nature conservation and wildlife What we offer: • Design options for the conception and development of web applications • Participation in nature conservation and wildlife projects, insight into applied research and communication projects • Flexible working conditions • Remuneration at NGO level • Cooperation in a committed, experienced team • Place of work: SWILD, Sandstrasse 12, 8003 Zürich, www.swild.ch Entry into the position from 1 October 2026 or by agreement Your application: We look forward to your application with a letter of motivation and desired job percentage by the end of August 2026.
