What you can achieve • You develop and operate highly available backend systems for business-critical payment services and implement modern web applications for their operation and administration • You bring your experience in complex technical logic, performance optimization and resilient systems to the table • You design the architecture with Domain Driven Design, further develop our technologies and shape technical decisions - also across team boundaries • You take responsibility for the entire lifecycle, from conception to operation including 3rd-level support (no on-call duty, voluntary participation possible if interested) • You work closely with our departments and translate complex requirements into viable technical solutions • You promote technical exchange within the team and support less experienced colleagues in their development What you bring • Higher education in computer science (FH/Uni) or comparable qualification • Several years of experience in software development, ideally with a focus on backend development • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and SQL as well as good frontend knowledge in Angular, TypeScript and HTML5; experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, GitOps and Observability is an advantage • High quality standards, experience with automated testing and enjoyment of the sustainable further development of complex systems • Familiarity with distributed systems, resilient architectures and performance and scalability issues; knowledge of Oracle DB, OpenSearch, Kafka, JMS or Camunda is a plus • Team-oriented, analytical and solution-oriented personality with the ability to develop viable solutions together • Very good German language skills and good English language skills in writing and speaking
