At APP, you will further develop our core application, bring your own ideas, and work on solutions used daily by more than 120 employees.* Since 1977, we have been advising our clients at the interface between the business world and information technology. What awaits you As a member of our in-house development team, you will actively contribute to the design of our company's core application. With your agile Scrum team, you will continuously evolve our internal information system and implement new features from design to implementation. Our application supports central business processes such as planning, scheduling, skill-matching, and billing. Technologically, you will work with in-house web development based on Ruby on Rails. We are currently modernizing the frontend from top to bottom: responsive, user-friendly, and with a clear workflow from Figma mockups to implementation. In parallel, we are evaluating how the targeted use of AI can support our development work in a useful way and make it more efficient. Your missions • Evolve and operate our internal information system as well as other applications • Develop backend solutions with Ruby on Rails, including database design • Develop modern frontends with JavaScript and Tailwind as well as contribute to UI and UX design, particularly as part of the rewriting of our frontend • Operate and evolve our container and CI/CD environment with Docker, GitLab, and Tailnet • Independently develop solution concepts and implement the chosen solution • Provide support on other technical topics, for example in the field of AI, conceptual work, or additional applications What you bring • Degree in computer science or equivalent training • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in software development (full-time or equivalent) • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, ideally with Ruby on Rails • Proficiency in web technologies such as JavaScript and Tailwind as well as experience with DevOps topics such as Docker and CI/CD • Openness to new technologies and interest in AI-assisted working methods • Analytical mindset, quick comprehension, as well as an autonomous and reliable way of working • Very good knowledge of German at minimum level C1 What we offer you • Responsible tasks with freedom for your own ideas • An agile Scrum team that collaborates on an equal footing • Possibility of professional mentoring for dual-study students • Exciting projects and current development topics, such as our frontend rewrite and the thoughtful use of AI • Flexible working hours and a working model combining teleworking and common days in the office Why APP At APP, you will find challenging tasks, targeted training opportunities, and a helpful team.
