Senior Java/JakartaEE Developer

• IT - Software Engineering • Luzern • Contracting • Part-time, 80-100% • Immediately - 31.12.2026 with option for extension • Java, Jakarta EE, Microprofile, SQL Your tasks: • Development and further development of backend services with Java, Jakarta EE and MicroProfile • Implementation of complex functional requirements into high-quality, maintainable code • Collaboration in an agile product team with a focus on stable and reliable delivery • Application of Test Driven Development (TDD) as well as use of modern test frameworks • Development and operation of applications in a DevOps environment (Docker, Kubernetes) • Collaboration on architecture and design decisions using Domain Driven Design and/or hexagonal architecture • Documentation of software architecture using ARC42 • Reverse engineering of existing systems to derive requirements from existing code • Close collaboration with functional departments, developers and other teams   Your profile: • Many years of practical experience as a backend developer (Java, Jakarta EE, Microprofile, SQL) • Practical experience with Git, Maven and IntelliJ • Sound experience in the DevOps environment (Docker and Kubernetes) • Experience in development with TDD • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and or hexagonal architecture • Knowledge of ARC42 as a documentation template • Knowledge of various test frameworks and test automation (e.g., Cucumber, jUnit, etc.) • Confident handling of modern AI-based coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) • A plus are willingness and experience in frontend development • Fluent German skills
