Software Platform Engineer (f/m/d) # Be your best with Bechtle ## On behalf of our banking client based in Geneva, we are looking for a Software Platform Engineer (f/m/d) responsible for designing, developing, operating, and evolving on-prem and cloud hosting platforms, with a high level of requirement in terms of reliability, security, automation, and continuous improvement. ### Your mission #### • Design, develop, operate, and evolve on-prem and cloud hosting platforms, ensuring their availability, resilience, and maintainability. • Develop internal APIs, tools, and automations to improve operational efficiency, standardize practices, and reduce operational risks. • Ensure the life cycle of platforms and services in production, including deployment, containerization, observability, commissioning, and resolution of complex incidents. • Promote and implement modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE to industrialize solutions and raise their quality level. • Lead or coordinate structuring technical topics, contribute to the platform roadmap, support teams on best practices, and participate in the on-call service on a rotational basis. Your profile ## • Higher education in IT, software engineering, engineering, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in a Platform Engineer, Software Engineer, SRE, or equivalent role. • Very good mastery of software development and scripting, with demonstrated ability to design technical components, internal tools, or APIs; Python required, experience with Go, Java, Bash, or PowerShell is an asset. • Solid mastery of software engineering practices: code quality, testability, code review, maintainability, CI/CD, and automation of deployments. • Significant experience with platform and infrastructure environments, including Linux, virtualization, containerization, observability, logging, configuration management, as well as cloud and on-prem environments. • Good understanding of cross-architecture topics such as integration, security, network, and IAM in demanding production environments. • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive technical topics from start to finish, advise other teams, and advance practices with pedagogy. • Current French and English, with Swiss residence or willingness to relocate for the position.
