DevOps / Build \& Release Engineer Skysec Defence is a company specializing in the development of cutting-edge C\-UAS (Counter\-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) solutions. Your Role Do you want to not only maintain CI/CD, build systems, and release processes, but actively create better development workflows for complex technical systems? In this role, you will improve and stabilize our build, test, and deployment pipelines. You will ensure that builds are reproducible, dependencies are cleanly managed, and our development and release processes function reliably. We are looking for someone who combines technical depth with pragmatism, improves existing systems in a targeted manner, and works closely with software and embedded development. What you will do with us You maintain and improve our CI/CD workflows based on Gitea Actions and related tools You further develop automated build, test, and deployment pipelines You improve the reproducibility of builds across developer machines, CI runners, and target systems You maintain our Conan-based C\+\+\-dependency management You use containers such as Podman or Docker for stable build and test environments You support Buildroot-based image creation for our target systems You further expand automated tests, from unit tests to hardware-near system tests You improve release automation, artifact management, versioning, and traceability You work closely with C\+\+\- and embedded developers to eliminate friction points in the development process You document workflows, conventions, and infrastructure decisions clearly and traceably Requirements What you bring with you Sound experience with CI/CD, build automation, and Git-based development processes Solid Linux knowledge, especially in build environments, containerization, scripting, and system tools Experience with modern C\+\+\-build workflows and dependency management, ideally with Conan Good understanding of reproducible builds, stable toolchains, dependency pinning, and artifact management Experience with containerized build and test environments, for example with Podman or Docker Ability to analyze and solve complex build, dependency, and deployment problems in a structured manner Good scripting skills, for example in Bash, or comparable languages Pragmatic way of working and enjoyment in improving existing systems in a meaningful way Strong communication skills in exchange with software, C\+\+\-, and embedded developers Nice to have Experience with Gitea Actions, Jenkins, or the migration of CI/CD workloads Experience with Buildroot, Yocto, or other embedded Linux build systems Experience with Qt-based C\+\+\-projects, cross-compilation, or deployment on target devices Knowledge in hardware-in-the-loop testing, embedded systems, or system tests Experience with package registries, binary caches, artifact repositories, or release management Experience with static code analysis, sanitizers, code coverage, or automated quality gates Interest in developer platforms, engineering infrastructure, and software supply chain integrity Offer What we can offer you Motivating environment Flat hierarchies, clear goals, and modern technology Flexible working hours Flextime for a good work-life balance Future technology Work with the drone technology of tomorrow Paid certifications Drone examinations, renewals, and relevant further training are supported Innovation is encouraged Your ideas are welcome and are actively pursued Free coffee Best coffee from the coffee roastery, free for everyone Fitness subscription Discounted fitness subscription directly next to the office Attractive conditions Attractive compensation and growing social benefits Team events Regular team events, apéros, and shared meals Ready to shape the drone technology of the future with us?
