Embedded Software Engineer, 80-100%

With your expertise, you ensure the reliability and performance of our electronic systems and firmware, contribute decisively to product quality, and enable an outstanding driving experience for our customers. In this role, you will work closely with our software team in Cluj, Romania, and actively help shape the mobility of tomorrow. Your tasks • Co-designing a robust system architecture • Developing central features and system-critical functions according to the Product Backlog • Verifying, optimizing, and refactoring existing code; ensuring good code quality, unit tests, and documentation • Close cooperation with the hardware team during bring-up and the integration of new components (motor controllers, batteries, displays, etc.) • Performing interface validations, firmware integration tests, and debugging • Supporting production: test scripts, in-line tests, and programming stations • Collaboration with UI/UX, backend, and mobile app teams as well as external suppliers • Close cooperation with the software hub in Cluj, including occasional business trips Your profile • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development with C/C++ • Knowledge of Embedded Linux (Yocto) and RTOS (Zephyr) • Experience with distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers and CAN Bus • Advantageous: experience with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, or GPS • Desirable: enjoyment of cycling and experience with Jira, Confluence, or analytics tools • You enjoy working proactively, solution-oriented, and cross-functionally • Very good German skills and fluent, business-fluent English • Willingness to work on-site in Oberwangen (high proportion of presence work) What we offer you • International and dynamic working environment • Great creative freedom in an exciting growth phase • Modern employment conditions and flexible working options • Attractive discounts on Stromer and Desiknio bikes • Collaboration with dedicated teams and international markets Have we aroused your interest?
