LI-Hybrid # Job Description Within Nexthink's Engineering department, the team you will join participates in building what we call Collectors: the endpoint agents that run on the systems of millions of employees around the world. The Collector collects meaningful data at the operating system level, aggregates it on the device, and transmits it to our cloud analytics platform. They also help remediate detected issues and improve the user experience on their devices. Collectors are a complex and critical part of Nexthink products, running on Windows and macOS. You will tackle broad and unconventional problems with the autonomy to shape and own them - and your ideas can reach millions of devices worldwide. We maintain a high level of quality, performance, and security, and offer engineers the freedom to deliver and grow. Responsibilities • Design, build, and evolve Nexthink's Collector endpoint agents running on millions of Windows and macOS devices worldwide. • Develop modern, reliable, and high-performance C++ software, close to the operating system, where efficiency, stability, and quality matter directly. • Take ownership of impactful features end-to-end - from product requirements to production deployment, including observability and measurable impact. • Tackle complex multi-platform challenges in real-world environments, investigating deep operating system-level issues across diverse client fleets. • Continuously raise the level of performance, reliability, security, and maintainability of our Collectors, contributing to shaping a technology operating at a global endpoint scale. Qualifications More than 5 years of software development experience. Mastery of C++ 20/23. Strong demonstrable understanding of operating system internals. Experience in operating system-level software development and research on Windows and/or macOS. Proven experience managing a feature end-to-end, from product requirements to the delivered solution. Understanding of pure, lightweight, and highly testable code concepts. Ability to navigate and debug complex code. Ability to create tools supporting the development process. Proficiency or practical experience with agentic AI coding tools. Product-oriented mindset and comfort working in a dynamic environment. Clear and concise communication in English. Assets Experience in kernel-mode software development. Multi-platform development experience: Windows and macOS.
