We accompany the army on its digitalization journey - with the goal of strengthening the defense capability of Switzerland and specifically utilizing the opportunities of technological progress. The new digitalization platform forms the basis for an independent and crisis-resistant ICT infrastructure. As DevOps Engineer Linux, you will continue to operate, automate and develop a highly secure Private Cloud for the Digital Platform of the Army. Together with an interdisciplinary team, you will ensure stable, highly available operation and use modern technologies as well as DevSecOps principles. In this way, you make a direct contribution to the digital transformation of the army and to the security of Switzerland.
Operation and automation of a highly secure Private Cloud in the environment of the Digital Platform of the Army
Responsibility for operation, monitoring, incidents, changes and the continuous further development of the platform
Co-design of a highly available and resilient infrastructure according to DevSecOps principles
Use of state-of-the-art technologies in a security-critical and innovative environment
Collaboration in agile teams and direct contribution to the digital transformation of the Swiss Army

Your Skills
Degree (ETH/Uni/FH) in computer science or equivalent degree or sound professional experience
Several years of experience in the administration of Linux systems and in automation with Ansible; certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), LFCE (Linux Foundation Certified Engineer) or comparable are an advantage
Experience with virtualization solutions (KVM) and highly available environments; experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
Knowledge in scripting and in the use of monitoring tools (Bash, Python or Pearl)
Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD tools as well as agile ways of working and methods (SAFe, Scrum)
Ability to penetrate complex issues and develop pragmatic solutions
Very good German in spoken and written form
Impeccable record for the personal security check SEPOS
