Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Your Tasks:

Engineer, operate, and continuously improve shared Kubernetes platforms based on Amazon EKS and Microsoft AKS
Enable application teams to successfully deploy, operate, and scale their workloads on the platform
Maintain and enhance a portfolio of platform add-ons and supporting services
Gather, evaluate, and implement customer and stakeholder feature requests
Drive automation initiatives following a GitOps-first approach
Optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
Contribute to platform security hardening and security best practices
Support audits, compliance requirements, and governance initiatives
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to advance a modern cloud-native platform ecosystem

Your Profile:

Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes in large-scale enterprise environments
Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation technologies such as YAML and ideally Golang
Strong understanding of GitOps principles and experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
Experience with Helm and/or Kustomize
Familiarity with cloud-native tools such as Argo CD, Kyverno, Karpenter, Cilium, Grafana, and related ecosystem technologies
Structured, independent, and delivery-oriented way of working
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Fluency in English and/or German
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
