Senior Software Engineer Automation & Software Architecture

Your mission

• You will take over and internalize our previously externally managed software model in Eclipse/Actifsource and further develop it according to modern object-oriented principles.
• You will design and implement the software architecture for modular and scalable machine controls based on B&R.
• You will continuously further develop existing software components and ensure quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Together with product management, you will shape the long-term development of our software platform and actively contribute your technical ideas.
• As 3rd-level support, you will assist with demanding technical issues in close cooperation with customer service.

Your profile

• Completed studies (HF, FH, ETH or university) in automation, computer science, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Experience in software engineering, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering.
• Knowledge of ANSI-C for real-time applications as well as ideally Java for model-based software development.
• Experience in object-oriented software development and interest in modern architecture and modeling approaches.
• Enthusiasm for automation, mechatronic systems, and innovative technologies.
• Enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams and the willingness to share knowledge and learn from one another.
• Very good German and English skills.
