To strengthen our team, we are looking for an embedded Linux software engineer for the development of our radio communication and passenger information systems.

Your tasks ##

As an embedded Linux software engineer, you will develop with us the next generation of connected solutions for passenger information and railway communication. You will work on audio amplifiers, passenger call stations, control devices, and railway radio communication systems, where digital audio transmission, DSP-based voice optimization, Ethernet communication, and cybersecurity combine to form a reliable global solution.

Your work will contribute to our customers receiving customized, secure, and reliable solutions.

• You develop and design new software components for our embedded Linux platforms.
• You write technical specifications and participate in the definition of software architectures.
• You design and implement CI/CD pipelines as well as automated build and test processes.
• You verify and implement cybersecurity measures for our products and systems.
• You support projects during technical clarifications, solution research, and effort estimation.
• You work closely with hardware development, product management, and other internal and external project stakeholders.

What you bring ##

• A degree from a specialized technical college, a university of applied sciences, or a university in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field
• Experience in embedded software development under Linux
• Excellent C++ programming skills
• Experience with modern development tools and processes such as Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash for the automation of build and test processes
• Knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN, and routing
• Personal initiative, team spirit, and pleasure in learning new technologies and fields
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written

A plus ##

• Practical experience with the Yocto Project as well as in the creation and adaptation of embedded Linux distributions
• Knowledge of cybersecurity for embedded systems
• Knowledge of TypeScript, NestJS, and React appreciated
