Professional/Senior Software Engineer

V-ZUG Software Engineering ### V-ZUG Software Engineering is an area within the Technology Department. In close cooperation with innovation development, product management, IT, production, and other departments, we are responsible for the software of our household appliances in the kitchen and textile sectors. Furthermore, we design the digital channels such as the V-ZUG Home App, the V-ZUG Diagnose App, VZUG.com, as well as our IoT platform, through which external partners are integrated into our ecosystem. As a software team, we accompany our products throughout the entire life cycle - from the first idea to operation. What this position offers you ### • You don't just receive requirements - you actively help shape them. Together with our stakeholders, you define the business logic, bring it into harmony with the system architecture, and ensure clean coordination with UI and BSP • Software design is more than documentation for you. Using methods such as UML, you develop clear, efficient designs and ensure that business logic, UI, and BSP work together smoothly • Whether C/C++ or model-based development - you advance our appliance software. In doing so, you develop both the embedded software and the associated configuration software • Tests are a central part of our development. Together with application technology and electronics, you validate the business logic and interfaces - supported by PC simulations and automated test scripts • You will become part of an agile team that works according to SAFe or Scrum and grows together to continuously improve processes, collaboration, and quality What you bring for the position ### • A completed degree in computer science or a comparable technical field • Several years of professional experience in software development, preferably embedded software • Very good knowledge of C/C++ as well as experience with object-oriented software design and software architectures • Experience across the entire software life cycle - from requirements analysis through design and implementation to testing, maintenance, and further development • Enjoyment in solving technical challenges, helping to shape architecture decisions, and developing sustainable software solutions • High quality standards, analytical thinking, as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working • Excellent German and good English skills in spoken and written form
