We are looking for a highly qualified senior embedded software engineer to join our team in Châtel-St-Denis. As a senior embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for the definition of the architecture, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software systems as part of prototyping and industrialization projects.   Role • Join our development team as a senior embedded software engineer and work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers • Design and review complex system architectures: hardware, firmware, and software • Implement firmware on bare metal and real-time operating systems in C/C++ code • Perform software verification and validation testing to ensure quality and reliability • Lead development and be a technical reference within SDATAWAY for embedded software • Conduct discussions with customers on technical and non-technical subjects • Stay informed of emerging trends and technologies in embedded software development • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers   Profile • Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in embedded software engineering • Strong C/C++ programming skills and familiarity with Python • Good understanding of Cortex-M microcontroller architectures • Hands-on experience with IoT systems • Experience with Embedded Linux, device-trees, ARM processors • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics • Open-mindedness and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies • Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as Git and JIRA • Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills • Written and oral proficiency in English and French • Team spirit, proactive, and committed to supporting colleagues   What we offer • Working on diverse and innovative challenges in several industries • Joining a dynamic and collaborative team where your ideas matter • A modern office space and a culture valuing teamwork, growth, proactivity, and mutual trust • Regular team-building and social activities outside of the workplace   Start date: to be agreed Only applications from candidates holding a valid Swiss work permit will be considered
