Syntegon Packaging Systems AG in Beringen (SH) is a company of the Syntegon Group and stands for a comprehensive portfolio of packaging solutions for the confectionery and food industries. Here, with more than 700 employees, we develop and produce innovative, customized packaging and handling systems for demanding high-performance applications.

Job Description ##

This internship can alternatively be carried out as a thesis. The following tasks form your focus areas:

• You develop a web frontend for displaying process values (e.g., with Angular).
• Additionally, you redesign smaller backends for data management (e.g., with Python).
• Together with the UX team, you ensure intuitive operation of our machines and contribute to improving user-friendliness.
• You develop innovative solutions and test them on mobile devices.
• Furthermore, you analyze data from databases and create reports on data quality or improve recording methods. After the classification of the data, various learning methods can be investigated.
• Additionally, you investigate the targeted use of AI tools to increase efficiency in the development process and document your findings.

Qualifications ##

• You are completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Computer Science, Business Informatics, AI, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• You have already been able to gain initial experience in dealing with Machine Learning, AI-supported development tools, or web programming.
• You can handle common MS Office programs confidently. Knowledge in the development of web applications is an additional plus.
• You have good German and English skills.
• Your structured and independent way of working helps you to carry out the described tasks in a goal-oriented manner.
