Work location: Rapperswil (hybrid) Workload: 80-100% Start: by arrangement As Head of Development, you take on a central leadership role in the CTO organization of a leading Swiss provider of web-based business software for SMEs. You are responsible for the organizational and technological strength of the development organization. Your tasks: You lead and develop the agile development organization including the Tech Leads and create clear expectations, responsibilities and decision-making paths. You are responsible for the delivery capability of development, manage capacities, resources and dependencies across teams and remove obstacles. You align team structures, skills and capacities with current and future requirements (Agentic Software Development). Together with architecture and delivery, you define the standards and technology priorities in software development. You work closely with Product and Support, especially regarding prioritization, delivery coordination and production-critical topics. Together with the Head of Quality & Tooling, you ensure that engineering standards, quality frameworks, tooling and agile ways of working are effectively applied. Your profile: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Business Informatics as well as 8-10 years of professional experience in the IT industry, ideally in a SaaS environment At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position in software development, including recruiting, coaching, performance management and talent development Practical expertise in software development concepts (e.g. DDD, TDD), tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Datadog) and technologies (PHP, Symfony, MySQL, GCP, Kubernetes) Experience with agentic and agile development processes, effort estimations and production-critical topics Experience in working with Architecture, Product Management, Quality and Support Very good English skills, ideally fluent German skills Your benefits: Hybrid model and working hours that adapt to your life 5 weeks vacation plus option for unpaid leave Yoga, bootcamps, massages and joint BBQ sessions 16 weeks maternity and 3 weeks paternity leave Assumption of 63% of the pension fund contributions
