The team designs all work for the embedded software for all BERNINA sewing machines and thus represents a central part of future sewing machine development.

Software Engineer C++ / C# Long Arm (a) 80 – 100 %

You will become part of a cross-functional team that independently takes on development activities up to production readiness.

• Collaboration in a C++ Embedded SW SCRUM team using Agile / Scrum, focusing on the development of software for long arm/quilt systems
• Collaboration in a team for the development of desktop systems
• Supporting the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog
• Analysis, design, development and testing of SW tasks. Integration of work according to Scrum in compliance with the valid Definition of Done
• Programming of C# and C++ modules in a complex environment
• Working with modern CI/CD build environments (Jenkins)
• Using RT operating systems (ThreadX) and Linux

To be successful in this function, we are looking for a personality who, just like us, is always searching for new trends and technologies. In addition, we see the following experiences and knowledge as advantageous:

• Degree (Uni/FH/HF) in computer science, electrical engineering or in a comparable field
• Experience as an SW developer in C++ and C# and in particular experience with the development of quilt software
• Experience with the use of UI frameworks such as Qt, WPF or Avalonia
• High social competence and strong mediation skills
• Open-minded, solution- and team-oriented, proactive and resilient
