• IT - Software Engineering • Bern • Contracting • Part-time, 80-100% • 01.09.2026 - 31.03.2027 • AWS, Oracle, DevOps Your tasks: • Construction and co-design of the Oracle Database@AWS and Exadata target platform • Analysis, conception, and implementation of complex database, platform, and migration requirements • Planning and support of migrations of existing Oracle databases to the new target platform • Ensuring stable and standardized Oracle operations on ExaCC, Oracle Database@AWS, and adjacent platforms • Conception and implementation of backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions • Monitoring and continuous optimization of availability, performance, and stability of the database platform • Implementation and further development of security and compliance requirements • Implementation of hardening measures, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) as well as role and authorization concepts • Implementation of relevant security standards and CIS benchmarks • Automation of recurring operational and platform processes as well as continuous further development of the cloud and database environment Your profile: • Several years of experience in the engineering and operation of complex Oracle database environments • Sound knowledge in Oracle Database as well as experience with Exadata or Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) • Experience with cloud platforms and ideally Oracle Database@AWS • Very good knowledge in the conception and execution of complex database migrations • Sound know-how in backup, restore, disaster recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization • Experience in the implementation of demanding security and compliance requirements • Knowledge in database hardening, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) as well as role and authorization concepts • Experience with CIS benchmarks and the securing of business-critical database platforms • Knowledge in automation and DevOps-oriented operating models is an advantage • Analytical and structured way of working as well as high personal responsibility in complex technical environments • Fluent German skills in spoken and written
