As part of the development of the next generation of our measuring instruments, you will work on several innovative projects. You will participate in the development of the next generation of our measuring instruments. You will design the software that drives our products and ensures their connectivity, contribute to the development of our embedded systems, and participate in the opening up of new technologies such as mobile applications, the web, and artificial intelligence. We are looking, to complete our R&D team based in Renens: R&D Software Engineer (M/F) - 80% permanent position ## Responsibilities: • Develop software and user interfaces interacting with our measuring instruments, sensors, servo-controllers, and third-party software • Develop and maintain wireless and wired communication systems • Design, maintain, and evolve databases • Participate in the development of mobile and web applications • Contribute to the integration of artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms for the calibration of our instruments Required skills: • Experience in object-oriented programming: C#, C, Python • Development of user interfaces and software: WPF, Avalonia, Qt • Mastery of communication protocols: Wireless (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), Serial and wired (USB, RS-232, RS-485), Network (Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP) • Design and management of databases (SQL server) • Development of mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications • Ability to interact with servo-controllers, measuring systems, and third-party software • Ability to deploy a Linux OS on a System On Module and develop applications • Notions in optimization / machine learning for instrument calibration • Notions in computer vision and image processing for non-contact measurement, inspection, and dimensional control • Mastery of version control tools (Git) Profile sought: • Bachelor or Master in computer science • Recent graduate or engineer with a few years of experience • Good level of technical English (written and oral) • Attraction to hardware-related technologies and associated technical challenges • Creative spirit and technical curiosity • Analytical capacity and aptitude for problem-solving • Autonomy, rigor, and organizational skills • Desire to learn and develop skills (applications, AI, vision, embedded systems) • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different disciplines (electronics, mechanics, software) Why join Trimos? • Develop software that drives high-precision measuring instruments used by industrial companies worldwide. • Work on varied projects combining software, electronics, mechanics, embedded systems, mobile applications, and artificial intelligence. • Join a human-sized R&D team where your ideas and expertise will have a direct impact on the products. • Evolve in a Swiss company internationally recognized for the quality and innovation of its metrology solutions. • Benefit from an environment promoting autonomy, continuous training, and the development of new skills.
