What makes you unique

• University degree as a computer scientist or electrical engineer
• Several years of experience in software development
• Proficient use of at least one modern programming language and in Linux or UNIX system environments
• In-depth understanding of databases, interfaces and web-based applications
• Routine application of version control systems, automated tests and structured development processes
• Good active knowledge of a second official language; business fluent English skills

In a nutshell

At the Generalstabsschule, the staffs of the Swiss Army and other crisis management organizations are trained on the leadership simulator. A modern simulator is available for this training support. The Kommando Ausbildung (Kdo Ausb) is responsible for training within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to general basic training to officer training for the militia and the professional military. The Kdo Ausb includes the Höhere Kaderausbildung, the Personelle der Armee, five training associations, the training center as well as the Fachstelle Frauen in der Armee und Diversity. One third of the approximately 2'350 employees are active in civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting field and contribute to success together with the professional military.
