We are looking for an experienced Technical Leader Java to support a development team in a digital transformation context with high quality requirements. The role combines technical expertise, leadership, team support, and close collaboration with business units. The position involves active participation in design, development, code review, as well as the structuring of technical processes. Main responsibilities 1. Architecture & Technical Expertise • Design the architecture and technical solutions of Java applications. • Define technical designs, select appropriate frameworks and libraries. • Take charge of the most complex developments and resolve technical blockages. • Ensure code quality: code reviews, compliance with standards, best practices, management of technical debt. • Perform continuous technology monitoring and propose relevant evolutions. 2. Supervision & Leadership • Technically guide the development team and guarantee the consistency of technical choices. • Support the skill development of junior and experienced developers. • Participate in the integration and training of newcomers. 3. Organization & Coordination • Analyze functional needs and translate them into robust technical solutions. • Estimate workloads, contribute to planning, and collaborate with Product Owners. • Identify risks, anticipate dependencies, and guarantee compliance with deadlines. • Supervise or write technical, architecture, and API documentation. 4. Collaboration & Communication • Act as the link between technical teams, project teams, and business stakeholders. • Communicate technical issues clearly and propose adapted solutions. • Actively participate in a collaborative and multidisciplinary work environment. Technical Leader Java Required skills Technical skills • Excellent mastery of Java development and complex application architectures. • Proven experience in technical design and choice of architectures. • Very good knowledge of modern Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.). • Mastery of software quality practices: unit tests, code reviews, CI/CD. • Ability to manage technical debt and anticipate technological obsolescence. Human & organizational skills • Natural leadership, ability to unite and motivate a team. • Excellent oral and written communication skills (C2 level required). • Ability to popularize technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. • Strong capacity for analysis, synthesis, and a global vision of challenges. • Sense of negotiation, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in an Agile environment. Experience & prerequisites • Proven experience as a Tech Lead Java or equivalent role. • Successful experience in supporting and developing the skills of development teams. • Experience in large-scale digital transformation projects. • Experience in public administration or the Swiss judicial field is a significant asset.
